Aaron Piper
The world is a weird, beautiful place.
About
My name is Aaron J. Piper
I've been many things in my life.
I've been a photographer/videographer and journalist in the Midwest for more than 15 years. I have photographed and written about everything from murders to professional sports. I have photographed celebrities and presidential candidates. I have written about bake sales, court cases, and more. My work has been carried on the AP wire, and even been printed in the New York Times. I have received numerous awards for photography including the Indiana Managing Editor's Photograph of the Year nomination.

I have been and still am an author, focusing on YA fantasy, and have published Titus Fogg, a dark fantasy novel that reached top rankings in several categories, which I am currently working on the sequel to in addition to several other ideas in the works.
I have been a law enforcement cadet and reached 8 months out of a 10-month program, training in self-defense, firearms, law, and social studies.

I have been a manager, sales associate, and operations lead at Kohl's, where it was my job to solve problems for the company, work with customers, and improve customer service.

Often, I have been a student, first at Ohio University's prestigious photojournalism program, and recently at Texas State in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies with a minor in ArcGIS.

And despite all this, there are still more things I want to be.
I am currently looking for employment in the Geographical field, working with maps and geographical information systems, or outdoor work with similar departments.

Most of all I am a student, trying to learn something new every day, no matter how big or small it is.
